Establishment of a High-Tech Crime Prevention Police Team

(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the increasing number of high-tech crimes, Nghe An Provincial Police decided to establish a High-Tech Crime Prevention Police Team under the Criminal Police Department.

In recent times, high-tech crimes have increased rapidly, become more complex and caused many serious consequences.

Many people have taken advantage of the development of the internet to commit crimes such as: Disseminating obscene publications, theft, fraud, gambling, football betting, prostitution, illegal trading of weapons and support tools.

This is the direct cause of many other dangerous crimes such as murder, robbery, rape, and gangs of thugs killing, taking revenge, and killing each other.

Based on the analysis of the situation, Nghe An Provincial Police forecast that in the coming time, the risk of high-tech crimes will become more complicated with increasingly sophisticated methods and tricks, causing unpredictable consequences and posing many difficulties and challenges for the authorities in prevention and combat work.

To effectively combat this type of crime, Nghe An Provincial Police decided to establish a High-Tech Crime Prevention Police Team, under the Criminal Police Department (PC45).

At the same time, assist the leaders of the Criminal Police Department in advising the leaders of the Provincial Police on programs and plans to direct the implementation of the fight against high-tech crimes; guide and direct the professional forces of the District Police to prevent and combat this crime.
