Establish a Police Team for Combating High-Tech Crimes

(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the increasing rate of high-tech crimes, the Nghe An Provincial Police have decided to establish a High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control Police Team under the Criminal Police Department.

In recent times, high-tech crime has increased rapidly, becoming more complex and causing many serious consequences.

Many individuals have taken advantage of the development of the internet to commit crimes such as: distributing obscene materials, theft, fraud, gambling, football betting, prostitution, and illegal trafficking of weapons and supporting tools.

This is the direct cause of many other dangerous crimes such as murder, robbery, rape, and gang violence, revenge killings, and mutual murders.

Based on the analysis of the situation, the Nghe An Provincial Police predict that in the coming time, the risk of high-tech crime will become more complex with increasingly sophisticated methods and tactics, causing unpredictable consequences and posing many difficulties and challenges for law enforcement agencies in prevention and combating it.

To effectively combat this type of crime, the Nghe An Provincial Police decided to establish a High-Tech Crime Prevention Police Team, under the Criminal Police Department (PC45).

At the same time, it assists the leaders of the Criminal Police Department in advising the leaders of the Provincial Police on programs and plans to direct the implementation of the fight against high-tech crimes; and guides and directs the professional forces of the district-level police in carrying out the work of preventing and combating this type of crime.
