Establishment of the Nghe An ENT Association
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 26th, the founding congress of the Nghe An ENT Association and its first scientific conference took place in Cua Lo town.

The Nghe An ENT Society was established according to Decision No. 3185/QD-UBND, dated August 16, 2019; it is the 8th member of the Vietnam ENT Society.
The Association is a voluntary professional social organization of those working in training, research, and practice in the examination and treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases and head and neck surgery in Nghe An province. The Nghe An Ear, Nose, and Throat Association was established to unite its members, preserve and promote the tradition of medical ethics, connect, support, and share experiences, and update knowledge to improve the skills of doctors in the same specialty; promote scientific research and disseminate relevant medical information; and contribute to the sustainable development of the ear, nose, and throat field in Vietnam, meeting the healthcare needs of the people.
After six months of operation by the organizing committee, the Nghe An ENT Association has now attracted more than 130 members, including specialist doctors and scientific staff working in or related to the field of ENT.

The founding congress of the Nghe An ENT Association marked the birth of a professional association fulfilling the aspirations of numerous specialist doctors in the province.
The Congress announced the decision to approve the activity program for the 2019-2024 term and the draft charter of the Association. Accordingly, the Association has set out directions for activities, developed its charter, and continued to recruit new members, maintaining regular activities and events to develop the Association; building and strengthening the Association's organization; organizing professional and vocational activities for members; disseminating, training, and popularizing knowledge about the Party and State's policies and guidelines, as well as professional knowledge for members…

The Congress also elected the first Executive Committee of the Nghe An ENT Association for the term 2019-2024. Dr. Tang Xuan Hai, Specialist II, Deputy Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, was elected Chairman of the Association.
Speaking at the congress, Associate Professor Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Nghe An Department of Health - assessed that the establishment of the Association is of great significance to the development of the ENT specialty in Nghe An. He also expressed his hope that in the future, the Association will unite its members to successfully fulfill its stated tasks, principles, objectives, functions, and responsibilities; regularly organize scientific seminars to exchange experiences and improve the quality of scientific reports; and support hospitals and the sector in developing technical procedures and treatment protocols suitable to the practical situation in hospitals in Nghe An…

Within the framework of the program, the First Scientific Conference was held. At the conference, leading experts and doctors participated in presentations on specialized topics and several effective models for transferring treatment techniques for ear, nose, and throat diseases implemented in Nghe An.
