Establishment of Nghe An University

Today, December 26th, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1653/QD-TTg on the merger of Nghe An Teacher Training College into Nghe An University of Economics and renaming Nghe An University of Economics to Nghe An University, under the direct management of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Nghe An University is a public higher education institution with legal personality, its own seal, bank account, and operates in accordance with the law.

According to this Decision, the Prime Minister assigns the People's Committee of Nghe An province to direct Nghe An University of Economics, Nghe An College of Education, and relevant agencies and units to carry out the transfer and acceptance of personnel, finances, assets, and students of Nghe An College of Education into Nghe An University of Economics.

At the same time, the Nghe An University of Economics was reorganized and renamed the Nghe An University in accordance with the law.

The merger, reorganization, and renaming process must ensure normal operations and protect the legitimate rights and interests of all parties involved, preventing negative consequences, financial losses, and waste of assets.

The Prime Minister also instructed the Ministry of Education and Training to direct and guide Nghe An University on the training and awarding of degrees to students currently studying at Nghe An College of Education in accordance with the law.
