A young man wielding a knife demanded that doctors "hurry up" when a pregnant woman was brought to the emergency room.
A man in Ha Tinh was subdued and disarmed by police after exhibiting agitated behavior that frightened doctors and patients.
At approximately 11:50 AM on April 23rd, while doctors and nurses at the Emergency and Toxicology Department (Ha Tinh General Hospital) were working, a man carrying two knives, each 20-30 cm long, entered. He asked the doctors if they had already admitted a pregnant woman involved in a traffic accident for treatment. Upon receiving the answer "no," he left.

A few minutes later, about five men pushed a stretcher, carrying a 22-year-old woman with swelling in the facial and jaw area, to the waiting area of the Emergency and Toxicology Department for admission procedures. She had been injured in a traffic accident and was 32 weeks pregnant.
As the doctors were entering the patient's name, the same stranger from before approached, carrying two knives in the back pockets. He slammed his hand on the table, acting agitatedly, and demanded that the doctors "hurry up." Many doctors and patients standing nearby were frightened. The incident was reported to security and the police.

Two minutes later, police from the 113 emergency response unit (Hanoi City Police) arrived, subdued the man, confiscated his weapon, and took him to the station for questioning.
According to the leadership of Ha Tinh General Hospital, the female patient has been transferred to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for treatment. The injury is not too serious, and the fetus is not affected.
