Young man used a tractor trailer to transport 110 mortars
(Baonghean.vn) - Police discovered and inspected the cabin of a tractor-trailer containing 110 foreign-made mortars with a total weight of 142kg.
On the morning of January 24, 2018, Quang Trung ward police in Vinh city coordinated with Vinh city police professional teams to arrest a case of transporting a large quantity of smuggled firecrackers.

After monitoring, in the early morning of January 24, 2018, on National Highway 1A, Vinh bypass road in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district, the working group of Quang Trung ward police and professional teams of Vinh city police inspected the tractor trailer with license plate 81C 096.30.
Driver Pham Van Hai (born in 1987), residing in An Khe town, Gia Lai province, was driving in the South-North direction, accompanied by Pham Thanh Hung (born in 1998), residing at the same address. At the time of inspection, the police discovered 110 foreign-made mortars with a total weight of 142kg in the cabin of the tractor trailer.
The authorities have drawn up a record to seize all the above mentioned fireworks and handed them over to Vinh city police to handle the case.
On the same day, Thai Hoa town police successfully broke up Project 118P, arrested Dang Ngoc Tuan Anh (born 1989), residing in Tan Son block, Hoa Hieu ward, Thai Hoa town, seized 262 kg of various types of firecrackers and 1 truck.
According to the incident, at 10:00 a.m. on January 24, while traveling through Quang Phong ward, Thai Hoa town, Dang Ngoc Tuan Anh was asked by Thai Hoa town police to stop his vehicle for inspection.

Upon inspection, Thai Hoa town police discovered 154 rectangular firecracker boxes with foreign writing on the outside of the truck, each box containing 36 firecrackers, weighing 262kg.
Thai Hoa town police arrested Dang Ngoc Tuan Anh and made a record to seize the evidence.
