Young man destroys numerous security cameras to 'erase evidence'.

On the afternoon of September 1st, the Cam Le District Police (Da Nang City) announced that, through active investigation and pursuit, the Criminal Investigation Team of the district police had arrested the suspect who broke and destroyed numerous items.security camerainstalled by the Da Nang City Police Department in the area.

The security cameras were smashed and thrown down the sewer by the perpetrator to destroy them.

Specifically, on August 31st, the Criminal Investigation Team of Cam Le District Police received Official Letter No. 1107/PV01-D5 from the Planning Department of Da Nang City Police regarding the theft of two security cameras at the intersection of Dinh Chau and Thang Long streets, Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang City (under the management of Da Nang City Police), between 3:20 and 3:33 AM on August 30th. The city police discovered that two security cameras at the intersection of Dinh Chau and Thang Long streets, Hoa Tho Dong ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang City (under the management of Da Nang City Police) were missing, suspected of being stolen by thieves.

Notably, the security camera in the area was destroyed by the thieves in the early morning of the same day.

Also on the night of August 30th, the Hoa Tho Dong Police received a report that house number 15 Tran Dinh Long Street, Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le District, Da Nang, had been broken into by thieves who stole an Imou brand security camera installed at the gate.

The two incidents occurred in close proximity and within nearly identical timeframes. The Criminal Investigation Team determined that the incidents were likely committed by the same individual or group of perpetrators, so they immediately coordinated with other forces and launched an investigation using professional methods. Within just 24 hours, the identity of the vandal who destroyed numerous security cameras was revealed: Dinh Minh Ta (born 1995, residing at Group 77, Hoa Khanh Bac, Lien Chieu District, Da Nang).

At the police station, Ta confessed to being the one who broke into and stole property at house number 1 Nhat Chi Mai on August 30th. Afterwards, Ta walked to Thang Long Street, and at the intersection of Dinh Chau and Thang Long, he noticed a security camera belonging to the Da Nang City Police on a utility pole. Fearing being recorded by the camera, Ta picked up a nearby piece of wood, climbed the pole, cut the camera's wires, and then used the wood to smash the camera to the ground.

Similarly, Ta went to the opposite utility pole and smashed the security cameras, breaking them and throwing both cameras into a nearby drain. Not stopping there, Ta continued to house number 15 Tran Dinh Long, climbed the wall, and broke another security camera with his hands.

Upon verification, Dinh Minh Ta had two previous convictions for theft in 2013 and 2020. Having just been released from prison and returned to his hometown, he resumed his old ways, but this time, Ta was more audacious, "erasing traces" of the burglaries and thefts by destroying security cameras...
