Young volunteers provide support to exam candidates from mountainous regions.
(Baonghean.vn) - Starting from June 20th, more than 50 youth union members, young people, and student volunteers from the mountainous district of Tuong Duong began participating in the campaign to support students during the exam season.

In the 2017 National High School Graduation Examination, Tuong Duong district had 375 candidates. To support these candidates, the Tuong Duong District Youth Union mobilized 50 volunteer members and students.

Accordingly, these volunteers were divided into four teams, stationed at the examination sites from June 20th to 24th. This force was assigned to welcome candidates and their families, provide information and free drinking water; recommend safe and hygienic food establishments; arrange free or low-cost accommodation; and coordinate with authorities to guide and manage traffic flow, ensuring security, order, and safety. In particular, the volunteer force also provided free meals for disadvantaged candidates participating in this important exam.

Thanks to effective mobilization and appeals, the Tuong Duong District Youth Union has received both spiritual and material support from philanthropists, agencies, and businesses in the area. This includes over 600 free meals, each worth 30,000 VND, and 20 affordable rooms for disadvantaged students from remote areas.
Mr. Lo Van Giap, Deputy Secretary of the Tuong Duong District Youth Union, said: "The 'Supporting Students During Exam Season' program is organized annually by the youth of our district. This is a highly humane activity, so it attracts a large number of volunteers to register and participate."
