Youth volunteers support candidates in mountainous areas

(Baonghean.vn) - Since June 20, more than 50 union members, youth and student volunteers from the mountainous district of Tuong Duong have started participating in the exam support campaign.

In the 2017 National High School Exam, Tuong Duong district had 375 candidates taking the exam. To support the candidates, Tuong Duong District Youth Union mobilized 50 volunteer members and students.

Accordingly, these volunteers are divided into 4 groups, on duty at the examination sites from June 20 to 24 when the examination ends. This force is assigned to welcome candidates and their families, provide information, free drinking water; introduce places to eat and drink that ensure food hygiene and safety; arrange free or cheap accommodation; coordinate with functional forces to guide and direct traffic to ensure security, order and traffic safety. In particular, the volunteer force also supports free meals for candidates with difficult circumstances participating in this important examination.

It is known that thanks to the good work of mobilizing and calling for candidates, Tuong Duong District Youth Union has received spiritual and material support from benefactors, agencies and businesses in the area. That is more than 600 free meals, each worth 30,000 VND, 20 cheap rooms for candidates in difficult circumstances, remote areas...

Mr. Lo Van Giap - Deputy Secretary of Tuong Duong District Youth Union said: "The exam support program is organized annually by the district's youth. This is a humane activity, so it attracts a large number of volunteers to register to participate in the program."
