Vinh City officially operates Walking Street on the evening of April 8

Vinh City People's Committeejust issued official dispatch No. 1954/UBND/QLDT dated April 5 on traffic organization of Vinh city walking street.

Accordingly, to implement the Project of organizing a pilot walking street in Vinh city, Vinh City People's Committee assigned the City Center for Culture, Sports and Communications, People's Committees of wards and communes to widely inform all people, agencies and organizations in the area about the traffic organization plan for Vinh City Walking Street and the locations of stops and parking lots... when participating in activities at the Walking Street.

Traffic diversion time: From 19:00 to 23:30 every Friday and Saturday, starting from April 8, 2022.

Traffic diversion routes include: Ho Tung Mau Street (Section from Nai Bridge to Tran Huy Lieu Street (extended); Nguyen Van Cu Street (Section from Ho Tung Mau Street intersection to Le Hong Phong Street intersection); Nguyen Tai Street (Section from Ho Tung Mau Street intersection to Nguyen Van Cu Street intersection).

Traffic diversion plan during the time the Walking Street is in operation is implemented according to the approved Project and traffic management of Vinh City Police.

Parking lots serving the Walking Street include: Provincial Labor Culture House (car and motorbike parking); Giao Te Hotel (car parking); Sidewalk of Le Mao Street (motorbike parking); Ho Chi Minh Square (car and motorbike parking); Sidewalk of Le Hong Phong Street (motorbike parking); Sidewalk of Ho Tung Mau Street - area in front of the Provincial Inspectorate (motorbike parking). Parking lots serving the Walking Street are located in the wards of Truong Thi, Le Mao, Hung Phuc, and Hung Binh.

Vinh CityAssign the People's Committees of Truong Thi, Le Mao, Hung Phuc, and Hung Binh wards to review and coordinate with relevant units to ensure parking space for the walking street; Work with Giao Te Hotel and Labor Culture House to support parking space for vehicles during the walking street's operation and arrange parking staff to serve the walking street. Preparations must be completed before April 7, 2021.

Previously, Vinh city had planned to test the walking street on the evening of April 1, however due to unfavorable weather, the test run had to be postponed./.
