Vinh City prepares to build extended Le Mao Street

The Le Mao extended road construction package has basically completed the basic design appraisal.

Implementing the Priority Infrastructure and Urban Development Project adapting to climate change in Vinh city, Nghe An province is currently coordinating with the World Bank (WB) to deploy the first bidding packages of the project.

Including capital allocation to implement 3 traffic routes in Vinh city to improve connectivity and increase adaptability to climate change, including:

Construction of Le Mao extended roadconnecting Vinh city center with National Highway 1 avoiding Vinh with a length of about 1.2 km (starting point at Vinh riverside road, ending point at National Highway 1 avoiding Vinh), construction boundary according to Planning 48m (road surface 2x13m, median strip 8m wide, sidewalks on both sides of the road 2x7m wide).

At the same time, synchronously construct works on the route including: Vinh River Bridge and Rao Mang River Bridge, technical infrastructure system along the route such as stormwater drainage, wastewater drainage; technical trench system, lighting system and pavement...

Upgrading Cao Xuan Huy StreetThe starting point connects to the bridge over Vinh River, the end point connects to Pham Hong Thai Street, about 0.55km long, construction boundary according to planning 24m (road surface 2x7m, sidewalks on both sides 2x5m wide).

Synchronously construct works on the route including: Bridge over Vinh River; technical infrastructure system along the route such as rainwater drainage, wastewater drainage, technical trench system, lighting system and sidewalk paving...

Upgrading Tran Nguyen Han StreetThe starting point connects to Nguyen Truong To Street, the end point connects to Ngo Duc Mai Street, the length is about 1.95 km, the construction boundary is according to the 36 m Planning (road surface 2x10m, median strip 6m wide, sidewalks on both sides of the road 2x5m wide).

Synchronously construct works on the route including: Bridge over Ke Gai River; upgrade and renovate Dong Vinh canal, technical infrastructure system along the route such as storm water drainage, wastewater drainage, technical trench system, lighting system and sidewalk paving...

The project “Priority infrastructure and urban development adapting to climate change in Vinh city, Nghe An province” has a total investment of 194.5 million USD (equivalent to 4,502 billion VND); of which the WB loan is 129.6 million USD (equivalent to 3,000 billion VND), domestic counterpart capital (arranged by Vinh city People's Committee) is 64.9 million USD (equivalent to 1,502 billion VND).

The project is decided by the Prime Minister on investment policy. Nghe An Provincial People's Committee is the project management agency. Vinh City People's Committee is the investor.

The Vinh City Priority Infrastructure and Climate-Resilient Urban Development Project takes effect from December 2, 2024 and ends on December 2, 2030, consisting of 4 components, including: Component 1: Investment in drainage, active environmental sanitation and connectivity; Component 2: Expanding storage capacity to reduce urban flooding; Component 3: Upgrading and renovating Vinh River; Component 4: System development and capacity building), divided into 2 phases. The above 3 transport projects are in the sub-projects of component 1.

On February 26,Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinhworked with the WB delegation to agree on the implementation contents of the Priority Infrastructure Project and Urban Development Adapting to Climate Change in Vinh City.
