Vinh City is preparing to build an extension of Le Mao Street.
The construction contract for the extended Le Mao road has basically completed the basic design appraisal.

To implement the Vinh City Priority Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Urban Development Project, Nghe An province is currently collaborating with the World Bank (WB) to launch the first bidding packages of the project.
This includes allocating funds to implement three transportation routes in Vinh City to improve connectivity and increase resilience to climate change, including:
Construction of the extended Le Mao road.Connecting Vinh city center with National Highway 1 bypass, the Vinh bypass is approximately 1.2 km long (starting point at Vinh riverside road, ending point at National Highway 1 bypass), with a planned construction setback of 48m (road surface 2x13m, central median 8m wide, sidewalks on both sides 2x7m wide).
Simultaneously, the project will include the construction of various structures along the route, such as bridges over the Vinh River and the Rao Mang River, technical infrastructure along the route such as rainwater drainage pipes, wastewater drainage pipes; utility trenches, lighting systems, and sidewalk paving...

Upgrading Cao Xuan Huy roadIt has a starting point connecting to a bridge over the Vinh River and an end point connecting to Pham Hong Thai Street, with a length of approximately 0.55km and a planned construction boundary of 24m (road surface 2x7m, sidewalks on both sides 2x5m wide).

Upgrading Tran Nguyen Han StreetIt has a starting point connecting to Nguyen Truong To Street and an ending point connecting to Ngo Duc Mai Street, with a length of approximately 1.95 km. The construction boundary conforms to the 36m planning (road surface 2x10m, central median 6m wide, sidewalks on both sides 2x5m wide).
The project involves the simultaneous construction of various works along the route, including: a bridge over the Ke Gai River; upgrading and renovating the Dong Vinh canal; and the technical infrastructure along the route, such as rainwater drainage pipes, wastewater drainage pipes, utility trenches, lighting systems, and sidewalk paving.
The project "Priority Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Urban Development in Vinh City, Nghe An Province" has a total investment of US$194.5 million (equivalent to VND 4,502 billion); of which US$129.6 million (equivalent to VND 3,000 billion) is from a World Bank loan, and US$64.9 million (equivalent to VND 1,502 billion) is from domestic counterpart funding (allocated by the Vinh City People's Committee).
The project's investment policy was decided by the Prime Minister. The People's Committee of Nghe An province is the project's managing agency. The People's Committee of Vinh city is the investor.
The Vinh City Priority Infrastructure and Climate Change Adaptation Urban Development Project, effective from December 2, 2024, and concluding on December 2, 2030, comprises four components: Component 1: Investment in proactive drainage, sanitation, and connectivity; Component 2: Expanding storage capacity to reduce urban flooding; Component 3: Upgrading and renovating the Vinh River; Component 4: Developing the system and enhancing capacity), divided into two phases. The three aforementioned transportation projects are sub-projects within Component 1.
