(Baonghean.vn) On the morning of December 26, Vinh City Party Committee held a conference to review Party building work in 2016 and deploy tasks for 2017.

In 2016, from the City Party Committee to the grassroots Party Committees focused on implementing and bringing the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels into life. The key task was to lead socio-economic development, national defense and security. The city completed 21/23 main socio-economic targets.

The city has also focused on leading the settlement of land use right certificates; preventing traffic congestion; managing urban order; being resolute in clearing land for important projects, especially the Vinh Urban Development Sub-project; resolving citizens' complaints and denunciations....

Party building work continues to be taken care of; the Party's leadership role is affirmed quite comprehensively in all aspects. The activities of the political system, the direction and administration of the government at all levels have many innovations, creating high unity within the Party and consensus among the people. In 2016, 52 subordinate Party organizations were classified as Clean and Strong.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee emphasized: The city is focusing on building an economic - cultural center of the North Central region, therefore, in parallel with leading economic development, it is necessary to renovate infrastructure, urban order, environment, and resolve old collective housing areas and Quang Trung apartment complex. Focus on upgrading cultural, educational and medical facilities with the goal of serving the people, culture and urban civilization.

Comrade Nguyen Van Lu - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh City Party Committee awarded certificates of merit to party members who have excellently completed their tasks for 5 consecutive years.

On this occasion, Vinh City Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 Party Committees under the City Party Committee that achieved exemplary exemplary performance in 2016 and 9 Party Cells under the grassroots Party Committees that achieved exemplary performance for 5 consecutive years; 50 Party members who have excellently completed their tasks for 5 consecutive years.
