Vinh City first piloted one-way street

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang - Head of Urban Management Department, Vinh City People's Committee said: On January 22, 2016, the Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee issued Notice No. 329 on piloting one-way traffic flow for Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai streets.

Accordingly, for Dinh Cong Trang street: All types of vehicles are prohibited from circulating in the direction from Quang Trung street to the traffic island of the Provincial Post Office intersection.

For Ngu Hai Street, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling in the direction from Le Mao Street to Quang Trung Street.

Dinh Cong Trang Street is often congested during school hours.

Crossroads intersecting Dinh Cong Trang Street and Ngu Hai Street, prohibit all vehicles from turning in the opposite direction as specified above. Implementation time starts from January 25, 2016.

Vinh City People's Committee has also assigned the City Police to direct the traffic police force to coordinate with other police and ward and commune police to organize traffic flow and guide vehicles participating in traffic on the above one-way street in accordance with regulations.

The implementation of one-way traffic flow on Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai streets aims to handle traffic congestion on these streets. In particular, Dinh Cong Trang street has 3 schools: Le Mao Kindergarten, Primary School, and Secondary School along the road, so traffic congestion often occurs at the end of school hours.

Previously, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 454/UBND-GT dated January 21, 2016 on piloting one-way traffic flow for Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai streets.
