Vinh City is piloting one-way streets for the first time.

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang, Head of the Urban Management Department of Vinh City People's Committee, said: On January 22, 2016, the Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee issued Notice No. 329 on piloting one-way traffic flow for Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai roads.

Accordingly, for Dinh Cong Trang Street: All types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling in the direction from Quang Trung Street to the traffic island at the five-way intersection near the Provincial Post Office.

For Ngu Hai Street, all types of vehicles are prohibited from traveling in the direction from Le Mao Street to Quang Trung Street.

Dinh Cong Trang Street is frequently congested during school dismissal times.

All vehicles are prohibited from turning against the flow of traffic at the intersections with Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai roads as specified above. This measure will take effect from January 25, 2016.

The People's Committee of Vinh City has also instructed the City Police to direct traffic police forces to coordinate with other police and ward/commune police to organize traffic flow and guide vehicles participating in traffic on the aforementioned one-way street in accordance with regulations.

Implementing one-way traffic flow on Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai roads aims to alleviate traffic congestion on these routes. In particular, Dinh Cong Trang road has three schools (kindergarten, primary school, and Le Mao secondary school) along its route, often causing traffic jams during school dismissal times.

Previously, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Official Document No. 454/UBND-GT dated January 21, 2016, regarding the pilot implementation of one-way traffic flow on Dinh Cong Trang and Ngu Hai roads.
