Vinh City will have its second regulating lake in Hung Hoa.
(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Committee of Nghe An province has just signed a decision approving the detailed planning task at a scale of 1/500 for the Hung Hoa 2 regulating lake project in Hung Hoa commune, Vinh City.
Nghe An province has signed a decision approving the detailed planning task at a scale of 1/500 for the Hung Hoa 2 regulating lake project in Hung Hoa commune, Vinh City.
According to this decision, the planning area covers 137 hectares, with the following boundaries: North bordering Nguyen Sy Sach Street; South bordering a planned 40m wide road; East bordering a planned 35m wide road; West bordering a planned 24m wide road.

Investment capital is borrowed from the bank.WBApproved by the Prime Minister in Official Letter No. 17/TTg-QHQT dated January 8, 2021.
The project aims to minimize urban flooding, improve ecology and the environment, connect water flow and storage systems, enhance climate change adaptation, and promote sustainable urban development.
At the same time, developing the park along with surrounding green functional areas contributes to completing the architectural and landscape space of the eastern area of Vinh City, ensuring safety and sustainability against natural disasters.
Hung Hoa 2 regulating lake has three main functional areas: the regulating lake; the themed park area; and the tourism, recreation, and sports area.

Vinh City currently has a regulating lake in Hung Hoa commune, covering an area of 53 hectares, including 40 hectares of water surface. Officially put into use in 2017, this regulating lake is considered the "green lung" of Vinh City.
Continuing the construction of the Hung Hoa 2 regulating lake project is expected to provide residents of Vinh City and surrounding areas with a greener environment and help prevent flooding in the city.
This reservoir planning is part of the "Priority Infrastructure and Urban Development Adapting to Climate Change in Vinh City, Nghe An Province" project. The total investment for the project is 168 million USD, equivalent to 3,903 billion VND, which has been approved.
