Vinh City promotes innovative startups
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 22, Vinh City People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology and the Vietnam Silicon Valley Accelerator Investment Fund to organize a conference to promote the formation and development of an innovative startup ecosystem.
Attending the conference were comradesTran Quoc Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology;Nguyen Van Lu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Tran Ngoc Tu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, together with representatives of provincial departments and branches; business associations, units, departments, offices of the City People's Committee and leaders of wards and communes in the city.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: Vinh City determines that innovative startups play a very important role in the socio-economic development of the city in the coming time.
With the goal of building Vinh city into a civilized and modern city, the center of the North Central region in the fields of finance, trade, tourism, science and technology, information technology, high-tech industry, health, culture, sports, education and training, this conference is a premise marking the beginning of the development of the innovative startup ecosystem in Vinh city.

Presenting at the conference, Ms. Thach Le Anh - Head of Silicon Technology Commercialization in Vietnam, member of the advisory board of Project 844 on innovative startups of the Prime Minister introduced the concepts of innovative thinking, the concept of Startup, and building an innovative startup ecosystem.

In addition, Ms. Thach Le Anh also suggested proposals to the Vinh City People's Committee on promoting the formation and development of an innovative startup ecosystem, focusing on building working spaces for investors; supporting businesses with preferential policies to attract more investors to the startup sector.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Quoc Thanh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology said that with the characteristics of a start-up business being calculated as 1-5 years, the city government needs to have a leading role and have more specific policies to support businesses each year.
