Vinh City provides support for the construction of 20 houses for poor households in Quy Chau district.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee, said: In implementing Directive No. 21 CT/TU, dated February 10, 2023, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vinh City has called for fundraising to support localities facing difficulties in implementing the program.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 1 billion VND to support the construction of 50 new houses, with 50 million VND allocated to each house. The Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee expressed his hope that the local authorities would implement the program promptly and correctly to the intended beneficiaries, contributing to the effective achievement of the goal of reducing multidimensional poverty rates as outlined in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, and striving to essentially eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in the district by the end of 2025.

At the support handover ceremony, Comrade Vuong Quang Minh - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council, and Head of the Steering Committee for building houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties in Quy Chau district in the 2023-2025 period - shared: According to the review, Quy Chau district currently has about 433 houses that need to be newly built and 523 houses that need to be repaired in the 2023-2025 period. The implementation progress will be divided into years, specifically: 200 new houses to be built and 200 houses to be repaired in 2023; 100 new houses to be built and 132 houses to be repaired in 2024; and 133 new houses to be built and 200 houses to be repaired in 2025. The total estimated funding needed is over 20 billion VND.

Quy Chau District has identified this as a key local task, a "housing improvement campaign" for poor and near-poor households, for the period 2023-2025. The locality will mobilize the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level in implementing the program in accordance with the spirit of Directive 21-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, the plan, guiding documents of the steering committees at all levels, and legal regulations. The financial support received from Vinh City in this phase will be promptly and effectively distributed to the right beneficiaries, ensuring transparency, democracy, quality, and efficiency. The process of receiving, managing, using, and settling the support funds will comply with legal regulations and yield high results.
