| The Đoọc Mạy Commune Health Station is not only a place for 1,832 people in the commune to receive medical treatment, but also a place for people from several neighboring villages such as Huồi Tông, Huồi Lê, and Keng Đu commune to seek medical care. Ms. Lầu Y Chùa (from Phà Lếch Phay village, Đoọc Mạy commune), a patient currently receiving treatment at the Đoọc Mạy Commune Health Station, shared: “Everyone in our commune who is sick comes here for treatment because going to Mường Xén is too far. But we are very afraid every time we come to the health station for examination because our houses are so dilapidated and could collapse at any time.” |

| Dr. La Van Thong, head of the Dooc May Commune Health Station, shared: “The station is severely dilapidated, lacking functional rooms, and the working rooms are run-down, small, and cramped, making it very inconvenient for patients to come for examination. The station is 62 km from the town center, so there are many patients coming for examination, and the need for inpatient treatment is also high. However, we don't dare to treat patients inpatients because the station building is at risk of collapsing at any time, not ensuring the safety of patients. Therefore, in many cases, we have to examine patients in the building, or even for minor illnesses, we refer them to higher-level facilities.” |

Among them, 3 commune health stations are in serious disrepair and require significant funding for rebuilding, including those in Bao Thang, Dooc May, and Tay Son communes. Not only are the station buildings dilapidated, but the kitchens and other auxiliary facilities also need repair and upgrading. |
