(Baonghean.vn) - Hearing that the price of duck in Yen Thanh is cheaper than sweet potato, causing farmers to be in trouble, many teachers in the mountainous district of Tuong Duong joined hands to 'rescue the ducks'.

Previously, after reading the news “ducks are cheaper than sweet potatoes” published in Nghe An Electronic Newspaper on June 13, teachers in Tam Quang commune proactively contacted some duck-raising households in Yen Thanh district to “rescue” ducks. Accordingly, more than 200 ducks were purchased by the teachers.

Ms. Tran Thi Giang - President of the Tuong Duong 2 High School Union said that teachers in Tuong Duong 2 School contacted teachers in the area to buy ducks. Realizing the meaningful work, most teachers bought from 1 to 10 ducks.

Mr. Doan Dai Cuong - Secretary of the Youth Union of Tuong Duong 2 High School shared that all teachers at the school were able to buy ducks at the original price. Because the buyers and the sellers connected with each other, agreed together, whoever ordered the amount would come to receive and pay the amount according to the original agreement. In the near future, we will try to contact the people living in the area, hoping that the consumption will increase.
