Shaman under investigation for fraudulent land sales.
Duong Van Minh is accused of misappropriating assets from many people through the fraudulent transfer of land ownership certificates and soliciting investment capital.
On December 30th, the police of Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province, initiated criminal proceedings and detained Minh (31 years old, residing in Quang Trung commune, Quang Xuong district) for investigation into the crime.Fraudulent appropriation of property.

According to the police, Minh worked as a shaman and ran a vegetarian restaurant. Due to debt, he forged land ownership certificates to sell "fictitious" land.
Minh also falsely claimed to be the deputy general director of a large confectionery company in Ho Chi Minh City to entice people to invest, defrauding victims in Thanh Hoa and other southern provinces of 550 million VND.
During a search of the suspect's home and vegetarian restaurant, investigators seized four investment contracts totaling 470 million VND and a certificate of training in multi-level marketing.
