What is the fine for changing the color of a car?

Clause 1, Article 30 of Decree 46 stipulates a fine of VND 100,000 to VND 200,000 for individuals and VND 200,000 to VND 400,000 for organizations that are owners of motorbikes, scooters and similar vehicles that arbitrarily change the brand or paint color of the vehicle that is not in accordance with the vehicle registration certificate; or do not complete the vehicle registration procedures as prescribed.

Clause 2 of this Article stipulates a fine of 300,000 to 400,000 VND for individuals and 600,000 to 800,000 VND for organizations that are owners of cars, tractors, specialized motorbikes and similar vehicles that arbitrarily change the paint color of the vehicle to a color different from the paint color stated in the Vehicle Registration Certificate; or install windshields and door glass that is not safety glass.

According to Clause 4, Article 30, a fine of VND 800,000 to VND 1,000,000 will be imposed on individuals and VND 1,600,000 to VND 2,000,000 on organizations that are owners of motorbikes, mopeds and similar vehicles to motorbikes if they arbitrarily cut, weld, or re-punch the frame number or engine number; erase, repair or forge vehicle registration documents; hand over or leave the vehicle to a person who does not meet the conditions prescribed in Clause 1, Article 58 of the Law on Road Traffic.
