(Baonghean.vn) - In recent days, many young people on social media have actively shared about healthy and optimistic lifestyles during the pandemic to support Vinamilk's "You're Healthy, Vietnam is Healthy" campaign. Among them, the series of drawings by "the boy who draws poetry" Lai Thuong Hung has received much empathy from the online community.

While adults are preoccupied with the worries of making a living while simultaneously trying to stay healthy and safe during lockdown, children also have their own thoughts and desires. The heartwarming stories and shared experiences of children during the nationwide fight against the pandemic inspired Lai Thuong Hung to create this meaningful series of paintings. Through these paintings, the artist shares the answer to the question "What does it mean to be healthy?" through simple poetry and charming, unpretentious drawings.

In the innocent minds of young children, being healthy simply means exercising with their parents every morning to boost their immunity during lockdown days at home. They also define health as the joy of enjoying delicious meals and drinking tasty milk to nurture their grand dream of becoming "superheroes against COVID-19." However, to become superheroes, these children need to excel at even the smallest tasks, such as washing glasses after drinking milk and helping their parents with household chores.

However, not every child is fortunate enough to have their parents by their side during these days of the pandemic. Thousands of courageous doctors and nurses on the front lines mean that thousands of children are temporarily separated from their parents during this time. Families can only see each other through phone screens, mothers suppressing their longing for their children while working, fathers with sweat-soaked shirts still managing a bright smile to reassure their families. At this time, the children's dreams are simply to have a day when their families can gather together, for their mothers to cook them a hot meal, for them to sweep the house and wash dishes with their fathers, and to fully enjoy the happiness of being together as a family.

A quiet summer spent indoors, extracurricular classes postponed, friends only able to see each other through computer screens – what child wouldn't miss school and classmates? Many children simply long for the pandemic to end soon, so they can return to school, playing and frolicking with friends in the sun-drenched courtyard. Despite this, being sensible children, they are all determined to study hard during this period of social distancing at home, hoping that the day they return to school is not far off.

Lai Thuong Hung's inspiration also comes from the true stories of many brave children who went into quarantine alone. These touching images remind us of the importance of maintaining our own health, the health of those around us, and the community. So that one day, these children can return to normal life, continue to grow up in peace and the loving embrace of their parents.

Sharing his inspiration for the series of paintings, Lai Thuong Hung said that during the complicated COVID-19 situation in Ho Chi Minh City, many people were worried but remained calm, reminding each other to take care of their health and that of their families, especially the children. “It’s sad, even adults feel bored staying at home, let alone the kids, who are always full of energy but can only move around the house…,” Hung shared. Through the paintings, he also conveyed his own hopes:It is a determination to defeat COVID-19./And life returned to peace."

This series of illustrations not only reflects the thoughts of children, but also tells the stories of Vietnamese individuals and families during these resilient days of fighting the pandemic. Besides proactively maintaining family health, spreading a healthy lifestyle and positive energy to those around us and the community is even more meaningful because..."A healthy individual creates a healthy community, a healthy Vietnam."That is also why Lai Thuong Hung used this series of paintings to participate in and encourage people to support the campaign."If you are healthy, Vietnam will be healthy."Vinamilk's initiative aims to spread the message about a healthy lifestyle during the pandemic, while also supporting the donation of Covid-19 vaccines for children.

For every post sharing healthy habits and lifestyles that help protect and improve physical and mental health on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok in public mode, along with the two hashtags #VinamilkcungVietNamkhoemanh and #VaccineCovid19chotreem, Vinamilk will contribute 50,000 VND to support vaccines for children aged 12-18.

Vinamilk has committed a total budget of 10 billion VND for this activity. There is no limit to the number of posts each person can submit.
