Teacher in mountainous area returns large sum of money to person who lost it

At noon on May 9, on his way home from school, Mr. De accidentally picked up a black wallet containing many important personal documents (ID card, driver's license, vehicle registration... under the name Luong Van Le) and a sum of cash of 13,850,000 VND.

Teacher Xong Ba De went to Bao Thang Commune Police Station to report and hand over all the found property. After verification, on May 12, Bao Thang Commune Police, together with teacher Xong Ba De, returned the property to the owner, Mr. Luong Van Le (residing in Ca Da village, Bao Thang commune).

Mr. Le said that on the afternoon of May 9, on the way home from My Ly commune, his wallet fell out of his pocket without him knowing. When he got home, he checked and found that his wallet was gone, and he was shocked.

“This is the money I have saved up for many years as a worker and is also the source of income for the whole family, so the whole family is very worried. Luckily, the kind teacher De returned it,” Mr. Le shared.

The good deed of teacher Xong Ba De has been recognized and commended by local authorities.
