According toIndependentChildren of mixed ancestry have a greater chance of developing in height and intelligence compared to their peers whose parents are of the same ethnicity.
Research from the University of Edinburgh (UK) analyzed medical records and genetic information from over 100 previous studies conducted worldwide. They decoded the genetic makeup of children born to parents of different ethnicities around the world.
Accordingly, children born from mixed ancestry have greater genetic diversity (also known as DNA mixing), with the most significant influence believed to be on height and the ability to think quickly. "Greater genetic diversity leads to significantly increased height," the research team stated.

Besides his height advantage, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam spent a long time at professional football academies in Russia such as Spartak Moscow and Dinamo Moscow. Upon returning to Vietnam, he joined Hai Phong Club, and later the Vietnam National Football Team at the 2018 AFF Cup.
Van Lam possesses a tall, muscular physique with well-defined, toned muscles, partly due to his mixed Vietnamese-Russian heritage and partly thanks to playing football since childhood and his dedicated training. He always makes time for gym workouts, swimming, and other sports activities to maintain his physical fitness.
Every day, the young man spends 2-4 hours at the gym. He does exercises with weights and uses a weightlifting machine to build strong muscles. Van Lam said that in the beginning, he hired a personal trainer and had many opportunities to learn from and work with foreign goalkeeping coaches who came to Vietnam. Before each tournament, he always trains diligently.

Coach Park Hang-seo once assessed that the perennial weakness of Vietnamese players lies in their physical fitness. Therefore, in addition to professional training, players must find ways to improve their physical condition to ensure sustained performance throughout the 90 minutes of a match. "Asian strikers in general are not as muscular as European stars, but Dang Van Lam has an even more robust physique," said Coach Park.
With his excellent physique, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam always provides a sense of security in goal. On the evening of December 15th, the goalkeeper played brilliantly, keeping a clean sheet for the Vietnamese national team in the final match against Malaysia, bringing home the AFF Cup gold trophy after a 10-year wait for the Vietnamese people.
