The Voice Vietnam: Coaches' outfits are also dissected

The judges' competition, the contestants' performances, and the costumes of the four singers on the hot seat were all commented on and evaluated by the audience.

The first episode of The Voice 2017 has just aired with the coaching team including Thu Minh, Dong Nhi, Noo Phuoc Thinh and Toc Tien. Before that, the program faced many controversies related to the professional issues of the coaches or the decision not to accept contestants who sing bolero music.

Coaches compete fiercely but lack expertise

Through episode 1, it can be seen that speaking ability is the strength of all 4 coaches. In particular, Noo Phuoc Thinh and Dong Nhi – who are already famous for many "tricks" to win talent from The Voice Kids – continue to surprise the audience many times.

Audience member Bui Thanh believes that the lack of prioritization of expertise is a problem in many game shows today. This audience member criticized "the style of coaches acting as comedians in the hot seat, saying funny things, bringing up real life stories for fun."

Korean girl and handsome guy attract attention

Episode 1 of the show featured a number of notable candidates in terms of voice, appearance and stage presence. Among them, contestant Ali Hoang Duong with his handsome appearance or 16-year-old girl Hansara with her strong Kpop style made all 4 coaches compete fiercely.

Currently, Hansara's performance is receiving the most attention with nearly 30 thousand views and many shares. "Like this post for nostalgic reasons. The judges look like 2NE1, choosing Big Bang's song - right at a sensitive time. No intention to the judges but still the same old concept, pulling out a song to drag it down for one night, then the following weeks of performance gradually fade away", a comment hinted that the organizers put all the strong contestants in the first episode.

As for Ali Hoang Duong, possessing a voice and emotions that made Thu Minh "startled", and having a handsome appearance, the 20-year-old singer was soon predicted to be the champion of The Voice Vietnam 2017.

“The champion appeared in episode 1 and joined Thu Minh’s team”, “The first day of The Voice Blind Audition was full of handsome guys. I like the Magic Mirror guy”, “Thu Minh is training another champion”… were the comments right on the night the show aired.

Even the coach's outfit is a story.

The coaches’ outfits were also a subject of much discussion. Viewers were puzzled by the judges’ strange and colorful fashion sense, especially Toc Tien and Thu Minh.

Journalist Hoang Nguyen Vu shared on his personal page: “This is the 'creativity' in the spirit of Ho Hoai Anh. The coaches are extremely 'creative' in terms of images, let alone this year's sponsor being a colorful paint company or some kind of bird-keeping facility. Looking at the photo, I thought some kind of body-painting expert was playing a prank on these guys.

Also related to the issue of clothing, Noo Phuoc Thinh's outfit immediately got into a plagiarism controversy. A young designer named Phan Quoc An shared on his personal page that the shirt Noo wore was "95% similar in structure to a best-selling design by An from late 2015 but was not made by An".

“An doesn’t know which designer covered it and doesn’t want to find out more. It might be an acquaintance, but An doesn’t like it. Be a designer with a professional conscience. Don’t use each other’s brainpower like that. If that designer accidentally gets shared and reads it, respecting your colleague’s brainpower is respecting yourself,” Phan Quoc An added.

Obviously, the first episode of the program Vietnamese Songs still shows no small attraction to the public and the industry. The analysis and comments on all aspects have proven that.
