Three more markets in Vinh City reopen from today, September 15th.

According to information from Vinh City leaders, after Coi Market in Hung Loc commune, the city will officially open a new market.Three markets reopen.From September 15th, this includes Ben Thuy Market (Vinh University Market), Hung Phuc Market, and Chua Market in Nghi Lien commune.

Previously, a working group from Vinh City conducted an assessment of the implementation of disease prevention measures at these markets, finding that all markets had done a good job of preparing and ensuring the safety of people and traders returning to buy and sell at the markets.

It is known that,Ben Thuy MarketThis is the largest market in Ben Thuy ward, with up to 600 vendors and a large number of customers daily, mostly local residents, students, and workers. Previously, a Covid-19 infection case was reported among the vendors working at this market.

Although there were no Covid-19 infections reported in Hung Phuc Market and Chua Market in Nghi Lien commune, they were still ordered to close to ensure safety and prevent the spread of the disease. These two markets have a total of over 300 vendors.

The city requires the People's Committees of wards and communes and the Market Management Boards to strictly implement disease prevention measures when markets reopen, such as stringing ropes and marking lines to ensure people queue at the correct distance, measuring body temperature, requiring health declarations upon entering the market, avoiding crowding during shopping, maintaining order and distance, allowing only one entrance and one exit, and having personnel on duty to conduct inspections...

In addition, the reopened markets are only allowed to sell food, groceries, and essential goods. Food and beverage vendors are not permitted to operate within the markets.

For the remaining markets, they must fulfill the conditions outlined in Plan No. 207/KH-UBND and then submit them to the Department of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Vinh City for consideration before reopening in the near future.

Previously, Vinh City had planned to allow it.Eight markets reopen.Markets serving the public will remain closed from September 13th, including: Hung Dung Market, Quang Trung Market, Ben Thuy Market, Vinh Market, Vinh Train Station Market, Chua Market (Nghi Lien commune), temporary market (Hung Phuc ward) and Coi Market (Hung Loc commune). These markets must undergo safety assessments before reopening. The remaining markets will remain closed.
