Thus, the GX group of universities now has 14 members, including: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Water Resources University, Transport University, Mining and Geology University, Hanoi University of Industry, University of Technology and Transport, Banking Academy, Thang Long University, Academy of Policy and Development, Commercial University, and Hanoi University.

The selection committee follows these principles:
Admission is based on groups of majors:A group of majors, comprising one or more training programs of a school, is assigned a group code for admission purposes (collectively referred to as the admission code), sharing the same subject combination for admission and the same admission cutoff score.
Admission is based on the list of preferences.Candidates who have registered will only be admitted to the highest priority option possible in their list of registered preferences, as stipulated in the 2017 Admission Regulations.
In addition to the first round of admissions,Group GX continues to conduct joint selection.During the supplementary admissions rounds, schools requiring supplementary admissions will receive necessary support from the GX group regarding the application registration system, admissions software, and admissions communication.
If a candidate is admitted based on a higher-ranked preference, their subsequent preferences will not be considered.
The admission cutoff score for a group of majors is based solely on the candidates' entrance exam scores and the predetermined quota.
For a given group of majors, the admission cutoff scores based on different subject combinations may vary, with the difference in scores determined by each university.
