Another person in Da Nang infected with nCoV
The 61-year-old man in Hai Chau district, Da Nang, was recorded by the Ministry of Health as "patient 418" on the morning of July 26.
The patient, who lives in Thanh Binh ward, tested positive for nCoV on the night of July 25 and is being treated in isolation at the Intensive Care Unit of Da Nang Hospital, and is on a ventilator.
This is the second case of infection recorded in Da Nang in the past two days, the second case of community transmission after 99 days. It is not yet clear whether this patient is related to "patient 416" or not.
Da Nang is implementing measures to investigate the epidemic, isolate, contain and contain the outbreak. The Ministry of Health has established three special task forces to support Covid-19 prevention and control in Da Nang.
Thus, in the past 24 hours, there were 5 new cases. The case in Da Nang was recorded as "patient 416", ending 99 days without community transmission. 1,079 people in close contact with the patient were quarantined, of which 288 were identified as F1.
53 patients are being treated at medical facilities, their health is stable. As for "patient 416", his condition worsened very quickly, and on July 25 he had to undergo ECMO intervention and continuous blood filtration. The Treatment Subcommittee, Ministry of Health, assessed that the patient's prognosis was very serious, with a high risk of death, and the possibility of needing a ventilator and ECMO intervention for a long time.
More than 11,000 people who had close contact with or entered the country from epidemic areas were quarantined. Of these, 220 people were quarantined at hospitals, more than 10,000 at centralized facilities, and the rest at home or at their place of residence.
The world has recorded about 650,000 deaths in more than 16 million infections in 213 countries. The US and Brazil are the two countries with the highest number of cases and deaths in the world. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia has recorded the highest number of cases and deaths. Vietnam has not recorded any deaths due to nCoV.

The Ministry of Health continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the People's Committees of provinces and cities to support entry procedures and medical quarantine for experts, citizens of other countries, and Vietnamese citizens entering the country. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam has organized more than 60 flights, bringing about 16,000 citizens abroad back to the country. Some countries have many positive cases such as Russia and the UAE.
People from Equatorial Guinea (West Africa) will soon be brought back to the country, with an estimated 130 positive cases.
