The patient, residing in Thanh Binh ward, was confirmed positive for nCoV on the night of July 25th and is currently receiving isolated treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of Da Nang Hospital, requiring mechanical ventilation.
This is the second case of infection recorded in Da Nang in the past two days, and the second community transmission case after 99 days. It is currently unclear whether this patient is related to "patient 416".
Da Nang is implementing epidemiological investigation, isolation, containment, and outbreak control measures. The Ministry of Health has established three special task forces to support COVID-19 prevention and control efforts in Da Nang.
Thus, there were 5 new cases in the past 24 hours. The case in Da Nang was recorded as "Patient 416," ending 99 days without community transmission. 1,079 people who had close contact with the patient have been quarantined, of which 288 have been identified as F1 contacts.
