In our country's political system, National Assembly representatives and People's Council representatives are those who represent the will and aspirations of the people. Therefore, this is a measure of the ability of elected representatives to translate the voice of voters into concrete policies and solve practical problems in social life.

The performance of elected representatives in Nghe An province has left many positive impressions regarding their spirit, responsibility, courage, and close connection to the realities of social life. Many issues raised by the representatives not only accurately reflect the thoughts and aspirations of the voters but also contribute to improving policies and resolving difficulties for the locality.
Typically, through the monitoring activities and recommendations of National Assembly and Provincial People's Council representatives, many long-standing issues have received attention and been resolved by the central government. These include addressing compensation and resettlement policies for people in the Ban Ve Hydropower Project area and paying for land clearance for the upgrading and expansion project of National Highway 1A through the province – obstacles that have persisted for decades.
Many major policies of the National Assembly, the Government, and central ministries and agencies for Nghe An province were also formed from the proactive and positive efforts of the province's elected representatives. These include the issuance of specific mechanisms and policies for Nghe An; the investment plan for the Vinh – Thanh Thuy expressway; and the resolution of obstacles and acceleration of the Ban Mong irrigation project…
Many practical issues related to people's lives have been reflected and proposed by elected representatives of Nghe An province in the National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council, becoming policies and decisions of the State apparatus from the central to local levels.

Regarding the process of representing the aspirations of voters, Comrade Chu Duc Thai – Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council – stated: Responding to concerns from many contract teachers under Decree 06 and Circular 09 about schools lacking the funds to pay salaries upon contract expiration, based on practical surveys, the Committee proposed that the Provincial People's Committee submit to the Provincial People's Council Resolution No. 16, dated July 14, 2022, on policies to support funding for teachers' benefits and policies; and simultaneously recruit these teachers into the permanent staff.
Furthermore, in response to the issue of excessive fees in schools, just before the start of the 2025-2026 school year, based on the opinion of the Provincial People's Council, the Nghe An Department of Education and Training issued a policy to temporarily suspend socialized fee collection and simultaneously conduct a review to propose to the Provincial People's Council amendments and additions to Resolution No. 31, dated December 13, 2020, on fees collected in public educational institutions, ensuring compliance with current regulations.

Statistics show that the resolution rate for voter petitions from the Nghe An National Assembly delegation during the 2021-2026 term reached 94.12%, and 90.4% for petitions from the Provincial People's Council. According to Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council: “This result not only demonstrates the responsible involvement of functional agencies, but first and foremost stems from the spirit of being close to the people and listening to the people by elected representatives. Each voter petition originates from specific issues in daily life. When fully understood, thoroughly analyzed, and promptly conveyed, it will be an important basis for functional agencies to consider and resolve. Elected representatives not only reflect the opinions of voters but also must monitor and supervise the entire process, ensuring that petitions are resolved effectively and bring benefits to the people.”
