Construction of Vinh Citadel moat reaches 30% of volume

(Baonghean.vn) - At the construction site of Vinh Citadel's moat, there are still many households whose land has not been cleared.

The project to renovate and upgrade the Vinh Citadel moat was signed on January 27, 2016 and must be completed by August 10, 2017, so there are only 4 months left until handover. However, the site is very messy, and site clearance work is still stuck.

Rainwater in the lake has stagnated for months, making dredging difficult. In addition, the littering of household waste on the construction site is an unsightly sight.

The construction work caused cracks in some houses, which also hindered the contractor from working. Some houses that were not eligible for compensation still had cracks, and now they have to pay additional compensation.

According to the report of Vinh Urban Sub-Project Management Board, there are a total of 37 households (Quang Trung 2, Doi Cung 6, Cua Nam 29 households) that have not yet handed over the land, of which some households have received money but have not yet handed over all of it.

Most of the remaining households are stuck in procedures or have not clarified the volume, or have not accepted the land acquisition plan but have not been resolved. The Land Fund Development Center and the People's Committees of the wards have not been determined to urge and resolve the problems.

Project to renovate and upgrade the Citadel Moat with main items: Dredging, building retaining walls along both banks of the ditch, building a sewer line to collect wastewater, building a new ditch line inside the Citadel and a ditch line outside the Citadel, building 6 discharge gates and 6 wastewater separation manholes.

Currently, the construction volume has only reached 30% while the construction time has passed 55%.
