(Baonghean.vn) - The news about a student who scored 10 in Physics but failed the high school graduation exam has surprised many people because this student has below-average academic performance and frequently has to retake exams.

The student who scored 10 in Physics is Nguyen Sy Hung, a 12th-grade student from Tay Hieu High School, Thai Hoa Town, Nghe An Province. His homeroom teacher, Phung Thi Thu Ha, said: "I find it impressive that my student got a perfect score, but it's a rather sad kind of fame."

In fact, upon learning that Hung had failed his high school graduation exams, the school's administration and his homeroom teacher were not surprised because, throughout his three years of high school, Hung's academic performance had only been "below average." Therefore, when registering for the National High School Graduation Exam and learning that Hung had registered to take the exam at the testing center hosted by Vinh University, his teacher, Phung Thi Thu Ha, advised him to register at a local testing center. However, at that time, Hung was still adamant, saying, "I want to go to Vinh to take the exam once to see what it's like."

Principal Phan Bá Nguyễn only knew that Hùng had failed his graduation exams because he received a zero in Math. Therefore, he was very surprised to hear that Hùng was one of the four students who scored a perfect 10 in Physics. The principal also mentioned that Hùng was a weak student and had to retake exams every year.

After the exam results were released, Hung's homeroom teacher contacted his family to inquire about the possibility of a review. However, Hung replied to the teacher, "I didn't even do the math exam, so why would I need a review?"
