Candidates send Literature exam questions via Facebook for friends to help solve
Candidate Tran Dinh Xuan at Thanh Son High School exam site used his mobile phone to take a photo of the Literature exam and send it via Messenger app to ask for help.
On June 26, Phu Tho Provincial Police said that candidate Tran Dinh Xuan, born in 1998 at Thanh Son High School, used his mobile phone to take a photo of the Literature exam. Xuan then sent it to Dinh Cong Lam (22 years old, Thanh Son district) via the Messenger application on Facebook to ask for help solving it.
Because he could not solve it, Mr. Lam sent a picture of the Literature exam to Trang (a student at the University of Education 2 in Vinh Phuc). After solving questions 2 and 3 of the reading comprehension section, Ms. Trang sent it to Mr. Lam to send to candidate Xuan.
But when the answer was sent to Xuan by phone, it took 120 minutes to do the test.

Phu Tho Provincial Police advised the Phu Tho Provincial National High School Examination Steering Committee to suspend the exam for candidate Tran Dinh Xuan and two exam supervisors, Phi Thi Mai Linh (teacher at Minh Hoa High School, Yen Lap District) and Nguyen Van Huyen (lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy).
The Literature exam started at 7:35 a.m. and ended at 9:35 a.m. Candidates were allowed to leave early after 2/3 of the time had passed (at 8:55 a.m.), but had to hand in all exam papers, test papers, and scratch paper. However, at around 9 a.m. on June 25, when 2/3 of the time had passed for the Literature exam, the exam paper for this subject appeared on social media.
According to the national high school exam regulations, candidates will be suspended from the exam if they are warned once but still violate the regulations during the exam period at the level of reprimand and warning; bring illegal items into the exam room; take the exam questions out or receive answers from outside into the exam room.
In addition, candidates who write or draw on their exam paper content unrelated to the exam; who quarrel with or threaten officials in charge of the exam or threaten other candidates will also be suspended from the exam.
Candidates who are suspended from the exam will receive a score of 0 for any exam or component subject, will not be allowed to continue taking the next exams or components, and will not be allowed to use the exam results to graduate from high school or apply for admission to universities and colleges.
