Quan Hanh town (Nghi Loc): Towards a civilized urban area
(Baonghean) - After 30 years of construction and growth, Quan Hanh town has continuously strived for strong development, elevating itself to a civilized urban area.
Located on the North-South highway, since the early 1960s, Quan Hanh has been developed into the political, economic, and cultural center of Nghi Loc district. In 1986, in response to the district's development needs, Quan Hanh town was established with an area of over 374,000 hectares, comprising 9 residential areas and 1 hamlet, with a population of over 5,900 people.

With investments focused on spatial development and technical infrastructure, aimed at achieving the socio-economic goals of the district and befitting its status as a major urban center within the "Vinh - Nghi Loc - Cua Lo" urban region, Quan Hanh town is now thriving. Thanks to the unity, determination, dynamism, and creativity of the local Party committee, government, and people, the appearance of Quan Hanh town is increasingly improving.
By 2016, the town's transportation infrastructure had been invested in with 5 North-South routes and 13 East-West routes, facilitating travel and trade. The urban landscape was green, clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. Economic growth reached 11%; total production value was estimated at over 404 billion VND; of which, trade and services accounted for 73%, and small-scale industries and construction accounted for over 19%. The economic life of the town's residents has improved significantly; average per capita income reached nearly 47 million VND/year. |
The cultural, educational, and health sectors of Quan Hanh town have been prioritized for development; three schools at all levels, a health station, and a system of cultural institutions have been invested in and built, meeting the learning, healthcare, and spiritual development needs of the people. To date, 8 out of 10 residential areas/hamlets in the town have achieved the status of cultural units, 85% of families have achieved the title of cultural family; the town has been recognized as meeting national standards for healthcare; 100% of children attend school, and the number of good and excellent students admitted to colleges and universities increases annually; social order and safety are ensured... Recognizing these outstanding results, the town's Party Committee was awarded the title of Exemplary Clean and Strong Party Committee in 2016.

Mr. Dang Khac Binh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Hanh town, stated: “In the coming time, the locality will continuously innovate its organization and leadership methods in all fields; ensure political and social stability, promote democracy; and continue to strive and make greater efforts in economic development, improving the material and spiritual lives of the people, creating a solid foundation for the rapid and sustainable development of Quan Hanh town.”
