The automotive market is facing a wave of price reductions towards the end of the year.

In just the first half of September, the Vietnamese automotive market has witnessed an unprecedented wave of price reductions.

After Mazda and Honda, consumers still have many other opportunities in the second half of September as brands like Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Chevrolet are offering attractive discounts and promotions.

Most recently, in the latter half of September, the market witnessed a "shocking" price reduction by Mitsubishi for the Outlander model, with the largest discount reaching 220 million VND. In addition, many other models from the manufacturer also received price reductions at the end of September.

Mitsubishi had the biggest price reduction in September.

As is well known, shortly after Honda implemented its controversial price reduction policy and quickly achieved its sales growth target within just one week, Mitsubishi immediately followed suit. Specifically, the company reduced the price of the Outlander by up to 220 million VND, setting a record for the deepest price cut this month, with the aim of clearing out the unsold stock of this model.

Following the Outlander, the company quickly implemented a price reduction policy for the Pajero. The Pajero model also received a significant discount of 170 million VND. Specifically, the Pajero 3.0V was reduced by 164 million VND, from 2.120 billion VND to 1.956 billion VND; the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport G 4x4 AT was reduced by 180 million VND, from 1.538 billion VND to 1.358 billion VND; and the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport G 4x2 AT was reduced by 156 million VND, from 1.355 billion VND to 1.199 billion VND.

In addition, other Mitsubishi models also saw significant price reductions. The Mitsubishi Attrage was reduced by 50-57 million VND, depending on the version, while the Mitsubishi Mirage was reduced by 60-65 million VND for the Mirage 1.2 MT Hatchback and Mirage 1.2 CVT Hatchback versions.

Chevrolet offers price reductions ranging from 15 to 70 million VND.

This September, Chevrolet's Colorado pickup truck is seeing the biggest price reductions, ranging from 15 to 80 million VND, depending on the version. Specifically, the High Country version is discounted by 80 million VND, bringing the price at dealerships down to 759 million VND; the Colorado LTZ AT is priced at 749 million VND, a decrease of 60 million VND compared to the previous month; the Colorado LTZ MT is discounted by 30 million VND, with the current price at 759 million VND; the Colorado LT 4WD is discounted by 20 million VND, now priced at 629 million VND; and finally, the Colorado LT 2WD has the smallest discount, with the price at dealerships at 604 million VND, a decrease of 15 million VND compared to the previous month.

Additionally, the Chevrolet Cruze has seen a price reduction of up to 70 million VND; the Chevrolet Aveo has been reduced by 30 million VND for both the 1.4 LT and 1.4 LTZ versions. Finally, the Captiva is currently priced at 879 million VND, with a 40 million VND discount offered to customers who purchase the vehicle this month.

Nissan X-trail price reduced by 50 million VND in September.

Nissan is also offering discounts of up to 50 million VND on the X-Trail and Navara SUV models this September.

Specifically, the Nissan X-Trail 2.0 has been reduced by 50 million VND, from 933 million to 883 million VND; the X-Trail 2.0 SL has been reduced by 30-50 million VND, with prices now ranging from 949-969 million VND. The X-Trail 2.5 SV has also been reduced by 30-50 million VND, with actual selling prices now ranging from 1.063-1.083 billion VND.

The Nissan Navara received a discount of 48 million VND in September and an additional 2% reduction in registration fees. The Teana also received a 2% reduction in registration fees, up to 30 million VND; the Juke received a 21 million VND discount, and the Sunny, although not offered with a price reduction, was given a set of accessories from the manufacturer.
