The heating equipment market in Nghe An is gradually warming up.

With young children and elderly family members, and as the cold season begins this year, Ms. Phan Thi My Ha (Truong Thi Ward, Vinh City) has been looking to buy a clothes dryer and bathroom heater. “The rainy and cold season is starting. Therefore, families with young children need to buy clothes dryers and bathroom heaters; these are minimum necessities in this weather. Due to limited finances, I only bought affordable models,” Ms. Ha said.

To serve customers during the winter season, Ms. Duong Thi Cam Tu, the owner of a spa on Tran Trung Quang Street (Vinh City), purchased two oil heaters, each costing 5 million VND. “With a large space and serving many customers at once, I had to buy oil heaters to increase the effectiveness of warming the room. Even though oil heaters are currently 1-2 million VND more expensive than other types,” Ms. Tu explained.

From homes to restaurants, spas to kindergartens, there is a need for heaters and heating lamps to warm up during the cold winter days. Responding to this customer demand, supermarkets and electronics stores have imported large quantities of heating equipment: heaters, fan heaters, heating lamps, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quyet, owner of Ngoc Quyet electronics supermarket (Quynh Thien ward, Hoang Mai town), said: “According to forecasts, this winter will have periods of extremely low temperatures, so the demand for heating equipment will increase. To meet market demand, in mid-October, we imported more than 10 batches, each containing 50 products of various types of heaters, heating lamps, fan heaters, and dryers, with diverse types and prices across all segments.”

Walking around the major electronics supermarkets in Vinh City, as the first cold spell of the season begins, many people are looking to buy heating devices to protect their health. Depending on their needs and circumstances, each customer will choose the appropriate type of heating device. Currently, stores sell many types of heaters such as oil heaters, ceramic heaters, and halogen heaters.

Mr. Khuat Duy Tuan, an employee at an electronics supermarket in Quan Bau ward (Vinh City), said: "The first cold spell of the season has made the market for cold-weather equipment very active. The number of customers looking to buy electric heaters, oil heaters, bathroom heaters, etc., has increased dramatically in recent days."

Since the beginning of November, the supermarket has sold an average of over 30 products per day. Oil-filled heaters, priced from an average of 1,500,000 to over 3,000,000 VND, are a popular choice due to their durability and ability to not dry out the skin.

According to the survey, heating devices such as heaters, bathroom heaters, fan heaters, etc., are mainly from familiar brands like Panasonic, Kangaroo, Sunhouse, etc. In addition, some supermarkets also sell imported goods from Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, etc. The prices of heating devices are listed ranging from 300,000 VND to over 5,000,000 VND per product, depending on the design and model.

Besides the popular heaters, the demand for electric blankets and mattresses is also rapidly increasing. The prices of these products are also affordable for consumers. Specifically, electric blankets and mattresses range in price from 500,000 to over 4,000,000 VND per piece, with a full range of brands from Korea, Japan, etc. Washing machines with drying functions, clothes dryers, etc., are also selling well.

Along with traditional markets, the online supply of heating products for the cold season is quite diverse, and the quality varies. Many mini heaters with compact designs are available online for as little as 100,000 VND. Heated blankets, heated mattresses, etc., both imported and domestically produced, are sold on e-commerce sites at prices ranging from 300,000 to 2 million VND.

However, it is recommended that consumers carefully research product information before buying online to avoid purchasing low-quality goods that could affect their health and safety.
