Thai Hoa town has over 2000 successful business households.

(Baonghean.vn) - On November 24th, Thai Hoa town organized the 4th Conference of Outstanding Farmers in Production and Business, covering the period 2012-2016, with the participation of 30 delegates representing 2,034 outstanding farmer households.

Thai Hoa town awarded certificates of merit to outstanding farming households.

During the period 2012-2016, the movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and achieve sustainable poverty reduction was widely launched by the Farmers' Associations of Thai Hoa town. By 2016, the entire town had 2,034 households excelling in production and business at all levels, an increase of 387 households compared to 2012; including 18 households at the central level, 130 households at the provincial level, 448 households at the town level, and 1,238 households excelling in production and business at the grassroots level.

The Farmers' Association of the town has implemented many measures to support farmers, such as providing farmers with over 1,972 tons of fertilizer on deferred payment terms; entrusting 44.2 billion VND to farmers through the Social Policy Bank and the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank; and establishing and managing a Farmers' Support Fund with over 1.4 billion VND for 78 households to borrow for various model projects. They also coordinated the opening of 77 short-term vocational training classes for 2,737 learners and 297 science and technology training courses for 14,122 participants.

Farmers in Thai Hoa town received training in orange cultivation techniques.

The movement has encouraged and motivated farmers to promote solidarity and mutual support to help each other overcome poverty, compete to get rich, and create jobs for more than 10,268 regular workers and tens of thousands of seasonal workers. In addition, the movement has encouraged and motivated successful farming households to help 168 farming households escape poverty.

At the conference, 30 outstanding production and business households and 3 collectives were awarded certificates of merit by the People's Committee and the Farmers' Association of Thai Hoa town. The conference also elected 5 delegates to represent the production and business households of Thai Hoa town at the Conference honoring outstanding farmers and business owners organized by the Nghe An Provincial Farmers' Association.
