Thai Hoa town is about to receive the title of New Rural Area.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 15th, under the chairmanship of Mr. Dinh Viet Hong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee listened to and gave opinions on the plan to organize the ceremony to announce the Decision recognizing Thai Hoa Town as meeting the standards of a New Rural Area and to receive the certificate recognizing the National Historical Monument of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hieu farm.

Comrade Dinh Viet Hong presided over the concluding remarks at the meeting.

After 5 years of implementing the New Rural Development program, on February 24, 2016, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 301/QD-TTg recognizing Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province, as having met the standards for a new rural area in 2015.

Thai Hoa has become the first district-level unit in the province to achieve the New Rural Area standard and is among the top 20 districts nationwide to achieve this standard. The historical site commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hieu farm on December 10, 1961, has also recently been classified as a National Historical Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

To encourage and motivate the efforts of officials and people of Thai Hoa town in particular and the whole province in general in the New Rural Development movement, and at the same time to recall the traditions and landmarks of the red soil region of Phu Quy - where President Ho Chi Minh visited; the Provincial People's Committee plans to organize a ceremony to announce the Decision recognizing Thai Hoa town as meeting the New Rural Development standards and to receive the certificate recognizing President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hieu farm as a National Historical Monument on the evening of May 6, 2016 at the Dong Hieu commune stadium, Thai Hoa town.

Comrade Hoang Phu Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Hoa Town, reported on the preparations for the reception ceremony.

During the meeting, many opinions were expressed suggesting that the Provincial People's Committee and Thai Hoa town assign specific tasks to each sector; establish subcommittees; and add program content and guest lists related to the ceremony to receive the certificate designating President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hieu farm as a National Historical Monument…

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong instructed the Thai Hoa Town People's Committee to incorporate the feedback; coordinate with the Provincial New Rural Development Coordination Office, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to finalize the content and plan; and organize the program effectively. Relevant departments and agencies should proactively carry out their respective tasks and responsibilities; and ensure effective communication, protocol, and security before, during, and after the ceremony.
