On the occasion of the New Year 2026, Phuc Son Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command) organized a flag-raising ceremony at the sovereignty marker and deployed patrols to protect the border and national border markers, contributing to fostering patriotism and maintaining border security during the New Year holiday.

On the morning of January 1, 2026, at border marker 443 in Anh Son commune, Nghe An province, the Youth Union of Phuc Son Border Guard Station, in coordination with the Youth Union of Anh Son commune, organized a flag-raising ceremony for the new year for members of the Youth Union of Veu 3 village and the Youth Unions of Duc Son 3, 8, and 9 villages.
At the ceremony, officials, union members, and young people were introduced to the history of the formation, construction, management, and protection of the border and national boundary markers; at the same time, they were educated and informed about the position and significance of protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
The flag-raising ceremony at the sovereignty marker at the beginning of the year not only holds sacred significance but also contributes to fostering patriotism, national pride, and raising the sense of responsibility of the younger generation in the cause of building and firmly protecting national sovereignty and border security.

To ensure security and order in the border area during the 2026 New Year holiday, from December 29 to 31, 2025, Phuc Son Border Guard Station organized forces to patrol and protect the border line and border markers from marker 443 to marker 447.
The patrol process was carried out meticulously and according to plan; the task force conducted on-site inspections of the border line and the condition of the national border markers. The results showed that the border line and markers were maintained in their original state and were safe, with no signs of encroachment or violation of national border sovereignty detected.
Patrol activities contribute to maintaining political security and social order in the border area, creating conditions for people to celebrate the 2026 New Year safely and healthily.
