'Humanistic Design' serves human life.
(Baonghean.vn) - "Humanistic Design" refers to designs that serve human life and incorporate modern materials into local designs. This was the goal of the "Humanistic Design" workshop organized by Minh Long Wood in collaboration with the Nghe An Architects Association on the afternoon of March 16th in Cua Lo town.
The event was attended by experts and architects:Le Truong - President of the Vietnam Interior Design Association; Takashi Niwa - Director of Takashi Niwa Architects; Nguyen Viet Huy - President of the Architects Association of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering; Nguyen Hoang Manh - Co-founder, CEO, and Chief Architect of MIA Design Studio; Tran Huu Tho - Founder of Gia My Studio, Design Director of VietDECOR; Pham Hong Son - Lecturer at Vinh University; Nguyen Minh Cuong - General Director of Minh Long Wood Group Joint Stock Company; Luong Ba Quang - President of the Nghe An Architects Association; and over 300 architects from Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Hanoi.
Humanistic design is a topic that has received much attention from experts and architects. "Humanistic" or "for people" refers to designs that serve human life while simultaneously reflecting the free self – the lifestyle of each individual.
A humanistic design – one that puts people at its center – will have an impact on individuals, families, communities, and, more broadly, on society as a whole. Humanistic design is also design that is suitable for the users, from ergonomics to local culture, lifestyle, and climate.
At the "Humanistic Design" workshop, experts and architects presented papers on topics such as: Health, happiness, and more; Promoting natural materials in modern spaces; The architect's journey in transforming the Indochine style in contemporary times; Balancing aesthetics and functionality – a story in modern design; Incorporating modern materials into indigenous design...
At the workshop, the issue of the industrial wood production industry attracted the attention of experts and architects, as it is becoming a dominant material with the potential to greatly replace natural wood.
