Man burns restaurant owner to death for refusing to let him pay 30,000 dong later.

Thinking that the shop owner wouldn't let him pay his 30,000 dong debt, a man in Gia Lai ran home, grabbed a can of gasoline, and returned to burn the victim alive.

Nghiem was arrested immediately after committing the crime.

On the afternoon of February 23rd, Huynh Huu Nghiem (36 years old) and his group of friends went to play billiards at a shop in Yen Do ward, Pleiku city (Gia Lai province) owned by Mr. Ho Van Hung. The group of young men owed 30,000 VND, but the owner resolutely refused to let them pay later.

After an argument, Nghiem ran home, grabbed a can of gasoline, returned to the shop, poured it over Mr. Hung, and set him on fire. Family members quickly used fire extinguishers to put out the flames and took the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment, suffering burns all over his body.

Mr. Hung is being treated at the hospital.

Nghiêm was subsequently detained by the Pleiku City Police for investigation.
