Nigerian teenager carries out suicide bombing, over 30 casualties.

On January 29, a teenage suicide bomber detonated a bomb he was carrying at a market in the town of Gombi, in Adamawa State, northeastern Nigeria, killing at least 10 people and injuring 25 others.

Witnesses said the explosion occurred around 12 noon (local time) when the market was crowded with shoppers.

This was one of the deadliest bombings in the six years since the Boko Haram Islamist group launched its insurgency in northeastern Nigeria.

Approximately 20,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million displaced due to violence perpetrated by Boko Haram over the past six years.
