A 16-year-old girl and her lover robbed someone in the middle of the night.
Nguyen Huu Hieu and Tran Thi Quynh Thuong hired a motorbike taxi driver to take them on a long ride around midnight, then attacked him, stole his motorbike, and fled.
On June 7th, Hieu, 21, and Thuong, 16, were being held in custody by the Dan Phuong District Police for criminal investigation into their alleged involvement.robbery.
According to the police, after serving a 5-year prison sentence for robbery, Hieu lived a vagrant life and met Thuong through social media. The two developed feelings for each other and frequently ran away from home together in the Bac Tu Liem district.

On June 5th, while sitting at a bus stop near the Industrial University in Minh Khai ward, Hieu and Thuong agreed on a plan to rob a motorbike taxi driver. Around 3 AM, they saw Mr. Tam waiting for customers near Minh Khai market, so they approached him and hired him to take them to Thuong Mo commune, Dan Phuong district, for 140,000 VND.
Upon arriving at the meeting point, which was crowded with people, Thuong pretended to borrow Mr. Tam's phone to call a friend to pay for the motorbike taxi fare. Both then continued to make excuses, asking the victim to take them to a friend's house to get the money.
When they reached a deserted area in the fields, Thuong borrowed Mr. Tam's phone a second time, pretending to call a friend, and again asked to be driven back to the Minh Khai market area.
As Mr. Tam turned his motorbike around, Hieu, from behind, grabbed a pair of tweezers and pressed them against his neck, forcing him to the ground. At the same time, Thuong used her hands to pull the victim's legs to help her boyfriend restrain him.
On the run afterrobAfter obtaining the motorbike, the two men removed and discarded the mirrors, license plates, and fairings. At 5 PM the same day, the two suspects were arrested in the Thuong Cat ward, Bac Tu Liem district, along with the motorbike as evidence.
