(Baonghean.vn) – The food safety violation at Giao Hien roasted meat establishment has surprised and angered many people. This incident highlights the need for broader inspections and assessments of food safety and hygiene at many other establishments. Every afternoon in Vinh City, the streets are filled with carts selling roasted and grilled meat. The open chimneys emit thick smoke, creating an unpleasant and stifling atmosphere, especially in this hot weather.

Numerous barbecue stalls are concentrated in front of Vinh Market. These stalls mainly operate from mobile carts, and from around 4 PM onwards, the vendors push their carts onto the road to sell their goods. This situation has been going on for a long time, but there seems to be no effective corrective action from the authorities.
Tương tự, hàng vịt quay trên đường Lê Huân, sát chợ Vinh cũng vắng hoe, do ảnh hưởng từ vụ việc lò thịt giay Giao Hiền vi phạm VSATTP
The roast duck stalls on Le Huan Street, near Vinh Market, offer no protection whatsoever. The golden-brown, fragrant roast ducks are simply hung in the middle of the street, exposed to dust, exhaust fumes, and traffic. Just imagine, these roast ducks will be bought by people to eat immediately without any further processing!
Tuy nhiên, với các loại đồ nước khác thì vẫn khá đắt khách, ví như quầy xúc xích nướng lâu năm trước cổng chợ Vinh này

Science has proven that grilling food over charcoal at temperatures of 500-600°C, with fat dripping onto the burning coals, creates polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) that can cause cancer. This is not to mention the numerous food safety and hygiene risks associated with street food vendors using ingredients of unknown origin; yet, a large number of customers still purchase these ready-made foods for their family meals.
Dường như một bộ phận người dân không mấy quan tâm đến vụ việc mất an toàn VSTTP từ các loại thức ăn sẵn; háng bán gà hấp, đồ ăn chế biến sẵn trong chợ Ga vẫn tấp nập người mua
It seems that some people are not very concerned about food safety issues related to ready-made food; the stalls selling steamed chicken and other processed foods in Ga Market are still bustling with customers.
Dường như cách xa
Without gloves, and with utensils like knives and cutting boards laid out in the dusty streets, these street food vendors still nonchalantly prepare food for customers. When asked if they knew about the unsanitary roasted meat at the Giao Hien establishment, some residents acknowledged it but optimistically stated, "There's nothing to worry about!"
Vịt quay lề đường Tuệ Tĩnh vẫn tấp nập cảnh bán mua, như không hề bị ảnh hưởng bởi dư luận đang lên tiếng tẩy chay thịt nướng Giao Hiền
Street food stalls selling grilled meat on Tuệ Tĩnh Street were bustling with customers even after dark. The lax management of such street food stalls raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene, especially in light of the recent inspection and crackdown on the unsanitary roasted meat at Giao Hiền establishment, which had been operating openly for a long time.

Previously, on April 22nd, the inter-agency inspection team on food safety and hygiene of the province inspected Giao Hien roasted meat facility - a long-standing and well-known roast meat shop in Vinh City. There, the inter-agency team discovered numerous serious violations of food safety and hygiene regulations. The owner of the production facility could not produce any documents. The inter-agency team ordered the facility to temporarily cease operations. The Vinh City Veterinary Department decided to fine the facility 4 million VND for violations of animal quarantine, slaughter control, and veterinary hygiene.
