Türkiye apprehends suspected coup leader.

According to Turkey's Sabah newspaper, former Air Force Commander General Akin Ozturk was arrested on charges related to a military coup attempt on July 15.

Earlier, Turkish media reported that General Ozturk may be linked to opposition preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom authorities believe masterminded the coup.

Recently, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the United States to extradite Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, who is residing in Pennsylvania, to face trial in Turkey.

Erdogan informed U.S. President Barack Obama that cleric Gulen had threatened Türkiye's security and needed to be extradited. The Turkish leader stated: "I call on the United States and President Obama to hand this man over to us."
