Information from the Nghe An Department of Health: The Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology has sent the test results for SARS-CoV-2 of Mr. NCĐ (29 years old, residing in Thai Son commune, Do Luong district). Accordingly, the results of Mr. NCĐ's sample are negative for influenza virus and negative for SARS-CoV-2.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: Mr. NCĐ had indirect contact with Mr. Dương Đình Ph. (the driver of Covid-19 patient number 17 NHN) at a car garage in Hanoi on March 5th. Mr. Dương Đình Ph. is the 20th patient to be announced.

On March 6th, Mr. NCĐ took a bus to Nghe An to attend a friend's wedding in his hometown. After hearing about the 20th patient, Mr. NCĐ proactively self-isolated. Nghe An health authorities arrived to complete the isolation procedures at the commune health station for Mr. NCĐ, and also collected samples to send to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology for testing.

Despite testing negative, Mr. NCĐ must continue to self-isolate at home as per regulations. Currently, his health is normal, with no adverse symptoms.
