How long does it take to issue electronic identity accounts for businesses?

Reply:Based on the provisions of Article 13 of Decree 69/2024/ND-CP as follows:

Article 13. Time limit for processing electronic identity account applications

From the date of receiving all valid documents as prescribed in this Decree, the electronic identification and authentication management agency is responsible for processing and issuing electronic identification accounts within the following timeframes:

1. For Vietnamese citizens who already have a valid citizen identification card:

a) No more than 01 working day for the issuance of level 1 electronic identity accounts;

b) No more than 3 working days for the issuance of level 2 electronic identity accounts.

2. For Vietnamese citizens whose citizen identity cards have expired or who do not yet have a citizen identity card, the processing time shall not exceed 7 working days.

3. For foreigners:

a) No more than 01 working day for the issuance of level 1 electronic identity accounts;

b) No more than 3 working days for cases of issuing level 2 electronic identification accounts where facial image and fingerprint information is already in the National Database on Immigration;

c) No more than 7 working days for cases where a level 2 electronic identification account is issued but facial image and fingerprint information is not yet available in the National Database on Immigration.

4. For organizations:

a) No more than 3 working days in cases where the information requiring verification about the organization is already available in the national database or specialized database;

b) No more than 15 days in cases where the information requiring verification about the organization is not found in the national database or specialized databases.

Therefore, the specific timeframe for processing and issuing electronic identity accounts is as follows:

For Vietnamese citizens who already have a valid citizen identification card:

- No more than 01 working day for the issuance of level 1 electronic identity accounts.

- No more than 3 working days for the issuance of level 2 electronic identity accounts.

For Vietnamese citizens whose citizen identity cards have expired or who do not yet have a citizen identity card, the processing time will not exceed 7 working days.
