ReplyAccording to Article 4 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, the following is stipulated:
Statute of limitations for administrative penalties; completed administrative violations; ongoing administrative violations.
1. The statute of limitations for imposing administrative penalties for violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road transport is one year.
2. The validity period of the results obtained using professional technical equipment and devices, or technical equipment provided by individuals or organizations, to identify individuals or organizations that have committed violations is calculated from the time the professional technical equipment and devices, or the technical equipment of individuals or organizations, record the results until the last day of the statute of limitations for administrative sanctions for the violation specified in Clause 1, Article 6 of the Law on Handling Administrative Violations.
Therefore, the statute of limitations for imposing administrative penalties for parking vehicles that encroach on sidewalks is one year.
