Is land statistics and inventory carried out nationwide? This is a question of concern to Mr. Le Van Binh (Cua Lo Town, Nghe An Province).
Reply:The scope and subjects of land statistics and inventory are stipulated in Article 57 of the 2024 Land Law as follows:
- Land statistics and inventories are carried out at the commune, district, provincial, and national levels.
- The timeline for conducting land statistics and inventory is as follows:
+ Land statistics are compiled annually, up to December 31st of the statistical year, except for the year in which a land inventory is conducted;
+ Land inventory is conducted every 5 years, up to December 31st of the year whose last digit is 4 or 9.
- Thematic land inventories are conducted according to the requirements of state land management in each period as decided by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment and the Chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee.
Thus, land statistics and inventory are carried out at the commune, district, provincial, and national levels.
