Further information on the case of the taxi driver who attacked a passenger with a brick after being criticized for his attitude.
The Vinh Hung Ward Police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case of taxi driver Nguyen Anh Tuan attacking a passenger with a brick.
Previously, Nghe An's newspapers, radio, and television reported on the incident in which a taxi driver attacked a passenger with a brick in Vinh Hung ward, causing public outrage.
The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 10th in front of an electronics supermarket on Nguyen Trai Street (Vinh Hung Ward). The initial cause has been identified as a conflict between the driver and a passenger regarding service attitude.

The driver's identity has been confirmed as Nguyen Anh Tuan. The victim of the attack was Ngo Van L. (born in 1990), who was traveling with his wife, Nguyen Thi Cam H. (born in 1998, residing in Duc Chau commune).
According to Ms. H.'s statement, at approximately 2 PM on April 10th, she contacted the Mai Linh taxi dispatch center to request a taxi to travel from Hoang Phan Thai Street to an address on Ha Huy Tap Street. When the driver arrived, Ms. H. confirmed her destination once again and then got into the car.
During the journey, due to unfamiliarity with the route, the woman asked the driver for directions, but the driver became annoyed and used inappropriate language. When she asked him to stop the car so she could complain to the company, an argument ensued between the two parties.
The driver then attacked, picking up a brick and hitting Mr. L. when he tried to shield his wife. Mr. L. was struck in the chest and required medical attention.
Working with the police, driver Nguyen Anh Tuan admitted his actions, apologized to the victim's family, and committed to paying for treatment costs. He also stated that the incident was caused by the passenger's inappropriate language, and that he acted in anger at the time.
Currently, the Vinh Hung Ward Police are continuing to take statements from the relevant parties and consolidate the case file for processing according to the law.
