The information published in the Gia Lai newspaper about the discovery of MH370 is false.

On the evening of September 7th, the Gia Lai Provincial Police announced that earlier that day, they had worked with the leadership of the Gia Lai newspaper and citizens who provided information about the discovery of the MH370 crash site.

Initial verification results indicate that the information about the location of the MH370 plane crash is unfounded and is false.

"The provincial police have submitted a report to the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee regarding the verification results," the source said.

Sources also confirmed that, after the Provincial Police investigated, Gia Lai Newspaper concluded that the information provided by the citizen was unfounded and inaccurate, and therefore proceeded to remove the previously published news article.

The provincial police are also investigating the act of spreading false rumors.

Earlier that morning, Gia Lai Online reported that a local citizen had come to the editorial office to provide information and a video clip about the whereabouts and location of the MH370 plane crash.

According to published information, while working as a laborer in Dak Nong province, this citizen recorded images and the location of the MH370 plane crash on Google Earth, then uploaded it to YouTube, but later removed it for various reasons.

Recently, this citizen saw a British person posting information about the discovery of MH370 in the Cambodian jungle. Looking at the images, this person noticed that their video resembled one he had previously posted, but showed signs of editing.

According to Gia Lai Online, citing a source, the plane was intact, not broken, with its nose submerged in the lake; it crashed into the water at a depth of about 30m, buried under 5-6m of mud, and was not in a dense forest or within Cambodian territory.

The crash site of MH370, as identified by this citizen, is located near the flight path from Malaysia to Beijing.

According to Gia Lai Online, the informant also stated that the exact location of MH370 could be found within 2-3 days. If the Malaysian government agrees, this person will request permission from relevant authorities to hire divers for the search and will bear the costs themselves.
