The Vinh - Hung Tay road was opened to traffic on December 31, 2018.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Vinh urban sub-project is nearing completion. During a site inspection, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested that contractors accelerate progress to open the Vinh - Hung Tay road by December 31, 2018.
On the morning of October 26th, the Provincial People's Committee organized a delegation to inspect the progress of the Vinh Urban Area project. Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, led the delegation; also accompanying him were representatives from various departments and leaders of Vinh City.

The Vinh urban sub-project, funded by the World Bank, has completed 10 packages to date and is currently finalizing several other packages such as the Vinh - Hung Tay road, the ancient moat, and minor repairs.
The contract for the regulating reservoir and the 35m road has been completed; currently, the construction of the small drainage ditch and park is underway. The railway overpass has been completed, and the bridge over the Ke Gai River is nearing completion, marking the final bottleneck of the project.
Regarding the project to upgrade and renovate the moat surrounding Vinh ancient citadel, the construction unit is currently dredging mud and cleaning the moat.

The Hung Tay - Vinh road project consists of 3 sections, constructed by various joint ventures. Currently, the section over the Ke Gai River is unfinished; the other sections have been completed.
On this route, 100% of the land clearance has been completed according to the approved design. The estimated construction volume is 92%, and the implementation time is approximately 92%, including the time for construction preparation.

At the site, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the contractors and investors, the construction progress, and stated that the project opens up great development potential for Vinh City.
Working in Hung Nguyen district, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested that construction enterprises and investors stay on-site to accelerate the construction progress of Ke Gai bridge so that the Vinh - Hung Tay road can be opened to traffic by December 31, 2018.
The Vinh - Hung Tay road, 70m wide, is the first section of the Vinh - Cua Lo boulevard, connecting the Quan Bau five-way intersection in Vinh City to the VSIP Nghe An Industrial and Urban Zone. This road creates a major East-West axis for Vinh City and provides new land for the city to the west. It is also the largest road in the city and is scheduled to open to traffic on December 31, 2018.
To date, the total ODA disbursed for the Vinh City sub-project is US$71.297 million, reaching 85% of the total available project capital (US$83.8 million); the project implementation time is 92%.
