VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial-Urban and Service Zone is a key project of the VSIP Group in Nghe An. After 10 years of operation, this project has created a distinctive landscape with a 97% occupancy rate, attracting major global corporations and becoming a model for industrial zones in the region and nationwide.

According to a representative of the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park Management Board, as of May 12, 2025, VSIP Nghe An 1 Industrial Park had attracted 57 investment projects (54 investors), with a leased land area of 248.74 hectares, achieving an occupancy rate of approximately 87%, and a total investment capital of approximately VND 50,249 billion (equivalent to approximately USD 2,110 million). Of these, 44 investment projects have commenced operations, creating initial jobs for nearly 29,000 workers; 5 projects are under construction; and the remaining 8 projects have completed investment procedures and are undergoing planning procedures for construction.
There are 36 FDI projects (33 investors) with a total investment capital of approximately VND 47,958 billion (equivalent to about USD 2,013 million) from countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Sweden. Some large-scale FDI projects are in the fields of electronics/precision mechanics and garment manufacturing, such as Luxshare-ICT, Everwin Precision Vietnam, Innovation Precision Vietnam, May An Nam Matsuoka, Gaiwach International Apparel Vietnam, and Sangwoo Vietnam.
Regarding VSIP Nghe An 2 Industrial Park (Tho Loc Industrial Park Phase 1), to date, one investor has been granted an Investment Registration Certificate for an area of 51.2 hectares with a total investment capital of US$590 million. Currently, there are approximately 10 potential secondary investors (requiring about 100 hectares of land) who are working to explore and implement investment projects. Of these, 3 investors have signed Memorandums of Understanding for investment covering approximately 30 hectares, expected to create jobs for about 30,000 local workers in the immediate future.

It can be said that FDI capital is a very important factor, positively impacting industrial production. For three consecutive years (2022-2024), Nghe An has been among the top 10 provinces and cities leading in attracting the highest FDI capital nationwide. This success is due to the province's effective implementation of the "5 readinesses" – readiness in terms of clean land; essential infrastructure; human resources; innovation, reform, and substantial improvement of the investment and business environment; and readiness to support and accompany the province. The province aims to attract over 10 billion USD in FDI capital by 2028.
Attracting investment continues to yield positive results, a key factor in boosting industrial production. Currently, Nghe An's industrial sector continues its recovery and rapid development. Several new factories, after a trial period, have stable commercial production, and many new projects have been implemented and put into operation, contributing to the province's economic growth: electronic components, automotive parts and components, solar energy battery modules; leather shoes; silicon semiconductor wafers; camera housings, etc.

The industrial production index in Nghe An province in April 2025 is estimated to increase by 19.6% compared to the same period last year. Specifically: Mining industry increased by 51.22%; Electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution increased by 21.08%; Manufacturing industry increased by 18.48%; and Water supply, waste management and treatment increased by 8.29%.
Overall, in the first four months of 2025, the industrial production index increased by 12.31% compared to the same period last year. Specifically: the mining industry is estimated to have increased by 17.58%; electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution is estimated to have increased by 13.17%; manufacturing is estimated to have increased by 12.08%; and water supply, waste management and wastewater treatment is estimated to have increased by 9.89%.

The industrial production index increased due to businesses' efforts to find consumer markets, especially overseas markets, resulting in increased orders. Many new projects that have become operational have contributed to the province's economic growth target. Some products that saw increases include: microphones, charging docks, headphones without microphones, cement clinker, electricity production, sugar, fresh milk, beer can packaging, etc.
Industrial production activities in the province have maintained their growth momentum. This has made a significant contribution to the province's socio-economic development goals, aiming for an industrial production value of VND 130,600 billion in 2025, a 15.55% increase compared to 2024.
