Sharing with Nghe An Newspaper, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang affirmed: "Certainly, Le Van Hung will not be able to participate in the training process before the 2020 season with SLNA, because he has not fully recovered from his injury. We do not want Le Van Hung to risk his career, so we will most likely not register him in the competition list in the first leg of next season."

Meanwhile, the goalkeeper from Thai Hoa town also revealed the risk of having to "sit and watch" the entire first leg of V.League 2020: "I am still in the process of recovering from a torn meniscus injury in my left knee and it will take about 1-2 months for me to be able to return to competition. Most likely, I will have to miss the first stage of the upcoming season."

With a torn meniscus in his left knee that he suffered during a training session with SLNA in May, Le Van Hung did not play a single match for the Nghe An team last season. The 27-year-old goalkeeper spent most of his time in the SLNA gym and the PVF Center in Hung Yen.
